Finally finished these few portrait commissions before the end of the year! I’m glad I can put a smile on somebody’s face! I used to be so against doing art for money that wasn’t my personal work and ideas. When I started taking private commissions, the one thing that kept me feeling like I wasn’t doing something just for money was seeing the joy in people when they would receive a piece I had made personally for them. It’s nice to pay my bills from what I love to do but the only thing that keeps me doing this, and keeps me from being jaded, and reminds me that art is a gift, in every sense of the word, is that when you make something for someone else it makes some part of their dreams come true a little, sometimes a lot!
